Unique Christmas cookie recipe #12. You should probably give your guests a heads up when you serve these DIY spicy pecan cookies. A little spice is nice but a lot isn’t much fun in my book. I might try these with an orange marmalade. Yum! Thanks to Cooking Channel for the fun recipe idea.
- 3 cups pecans, coarsely chopped
- 2/3 cup raspberry jam (the jam should have a thick consistency because it spreads during baking)
- Pinch cayenne pepper
- 1 cup light or dark brown sugar, packed
- 3 sticks unsalted butter, at room temperature (1 1/2 cups)
