Repurposing old furniture into something new and totally different is my favorite type of DIY project. Watching something that has little life left being turned into thing grand and beautiful is very satisfying. Not to mention you’re keeping things out of the landfill and getting something for nothing, so to speak.
Old dressers that are made of solid wood are fantastic for making into all kinds of things. We did one project with a dresser that became a lovely bench, now this one is a gorgeous stand for a TV. It’s fairly simple, although there is a bit of work involved. Style extrax that makes this piece so visually appealing are the the grey accents with paint in the detail areas and the grey hardware, with pink acrylic knobs in the middle.
Chelsea from Two Twenty One bought the used dresser on Craigslist and she took lots of pictures showing the process of redoing it. You can see her tutorial on her site, Two Twenty One.
