Wood and Pipe Doorway Bench And Coat Rack From West Elm DIY

This DIY West Elm knock off doorway bench and coat is really cool!  The best thing is that you can save over $300 building it yourself.  A bench doesn’t need to be built from scratch.  To save more money add the pipe to a bench you already have or buy at a thrift store.  Thanks to Making Home Base for the idea.

Hi guys! I’m teaming up with these great gals again for another awesome West Elm knock off! With organization as this month’s theme for our West Elm Knock Off Series, it seemed like a no brainer to create some storage and organization with an entryway organizer. I wanted something stylish yet functional. This wood and pipe entryway stand caught my eye and with a price tag of $499 I was sure I could do better!

While this wasn’t the thriftiest project I’ve ever done, it was well worth it to DIY this entryway organizer. We saved just over $300 by making it ourselves and the best part was we were able to customize the dimensions to fit our entryway perfectly. At the end it’s a few inches shorter than the original but perfect size for my entry.
